At Station Road we believe that keeping young minds active and engaged will give them an advantage as they grow.

Early teaching in a fun and supportive environment gives children the building blocks for learning they need as they enter school and continue to learn throughout their life.

THE CO-OPERATIVE EXPERIENCE

Station Road is a school with a unique partnership between parents, pre-school children, their teachers and the community. Parent involvement can be as rewarding for the parents as it is for the children.

NON-PARTICIPATING

At the beginning of each school year a number of non-participating spaces will be available. Tuition fees for these children are higher, reflecting the value of the work done by other parents in the co-operative. " with: "Parents are always welcome to become a semi-participating or Participating member each year if/when positions become available. Fees will be lower based on Participation level on the board.

ALLERGY-AWARE ENVIRONMENT

Due to the potential for nut allergies and the severity of these reactions we enforce a nut-aware environment. They are not allowed in snacks or lunches, and are not used in arts and crafts projects. This policy benefits the health and safety of the children in our program.

OUR PROGRAMS

At Station Road Child Care centre we strive to provide educational activities and quality care for every child. Our program runs between 7:00am and 6:00pm for both the Teddy Bears and the Honey Bees.

HONEY BEES

Must be 16 months old to 30 months
Children do not need to be toilet trained
Minimum 2 days per week

TEDDY BEARS

Ages 30 months to 5 years
Children do not need to be toilet trained
Minimum 2 full days per week

FLEXIBLE PROGRAMS AVAILABLE

Minimum 2 days a week full days with lunch and 2 snacks

FACILITY

''LEARN AND PLAY"

The school is equipped with its own facilities and self-contained playground. Our playground is kept well maintained by our staff and Parent Volunteers.

Outside children can enjoy all that our new playground has to offer, which includes shade for the hot summer months.

Classrooms are well equipped with puzzles, activity centres, crafts, paints, dramatic play centres, workbenches, musical instruments, indoor sand and water tables, construction sets and more.

Being located in the Centre 2000 in Erin, gives Station Road the unique advantage of an on-site ice rink, public library, high school gym and shop, the movie theater and more.

Every class takes advantage of all that Centre 2000 has to offer, getting involved with the Seniors program singing songs and playing games with them, going skating and using the high school facilities when they are available.

We absolutely love Station Road! The teachers are amazing and put so much
thought and care into every activity with the children. They care for each child as
if they were their own. As a parent, you need to have your child in an
environment that you trust and that is exactly what this center is, trustworthy. I

I can’t imagine a better environment for our son! Lindsi and all the staff at Station Road are amazing. Our son has multiple disabilities, and all the staff go above and beyond to support him in a way that allows him to fully and meaningfully participate in every facet of the program. They take the time to learn about, understand, and support our son in his developmental journey. The staff are genuinely excited for him as he progresses and in every one of his achievements. It is also evident they absolutely adore him and all the children at the Center!
